What's next? After my visit with Express!

Your weight loss journey is in full force. Excitement, determination, and fear, are taking over the mind and body but all of those thoughts and feelings ask the same question; now what?

What do I do now? First, congratulate yourself for taking the steps in the right direction to get healthy! With the help of Express Weight Loss Center the path to being healthy has been paved for you; all you need to do now is start walking! But I know you’re asking yourself where do I begin? It all starts with your brain. Having a positive mindset, overcoming fear and taking control of your life is the first step. What type of fuel you put in your body and where that fuel comes from will follow naturally because we all know a Big Mac, large fries, and Coke will not reduce your belt size.

The thought of what to eat can be overwhelming so let’s make this journey simple, healthy and delicious. Changing what you eat and how you eat is the first step to a healthy way of life and that can be achieved by cleaning house. Yep, that’s right, clean out the panty, fridge, freezer and cupboards. All of those processed, packaged, “low fat,” “sugar free,” high-carbohydrate, high-sugar food items lurking in your kitchen will hurt you; not only mentally but physically. Grab a garbage bag and start tossing away those tempting goodies because if not, a cheat fest will lead right back to old bad- habits. It’s time to make new habits that include clean eating and exercising!

Did you know it takes 3500 calories to gain one pound? Yes, only one pound. Sounds like a lot but for many people that is an easily obtained calorie intake and for some, it happens on a daily basis. Let’s replace the pre-packaged junk in the kitchen with fresh fruits, veggies, healthy fats and carbohydrates. Starting at home is the first step to take when choosing a healthy life!
